This thought leadership research was carried out in collaboration with the Fashion Rteail Academy to create a vision for the future of Fashion and Retail Industry from the post-covid pandemic period up to 2030 and beyond.

In the future we will see a mixture of both physical and virtual experiences, and the Metaverse will play a vital role in delivering Fashion and Retail. The research report focuses on the rapid changing consumer behaviour that has been driven by the digital acceleration caused by the Covid Pandemic, Global Economic Crisis and increasing concerns for Climate Change.
The Covid Pandemic has created a major shift in consumer behaviour with all generations shopping online and through ecommerce platforms with less interaction through the high streets. In the future there will be major concerns regarding health and wellbeing, unlimited access to information through social media and a new wave of influencers, the shift from fast fashion towards sustainabie fashion retail business models including ESG reporting and monitoring through blockchain technology.
